The Rumpus!!!
I am thrilled to have an essay up at the fine literary mag, The Rumpus. A piece about me, my mom and Joan Didion - a writer who had a profound effect on both of our lives.
Abby, I loved your essay about Didion. I did not discover Didion until recently (late twenties), and still a lot of what you said about feeling lost, how it parallels Didion's life and maybe all women in their early twenties, waiting for their lives to start, is such a universal experience. I linked to it on my blog! Can't wait to read more of your work.
